At Pathways, our curriculum and events are designed to support the holistic development of every child. We believe that a strong educational foundation, combined with meaningful school experiences and engaging activities, helps children grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Pathways curriculum aligns with the Department of Basic Education National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS). This ensures that our learning programmes meet the national standards for early childhood education in South Africa while preparing children for the next stage of their academic journey. Through structured lessons, creative activities, and play-based learning, our teachers guide children in developing essential skills such as language, numeracy, problem-solving, and confidence.

Alongside our academic programme, Pathways events play an important role in enriching the learning experience. Throughout the year, we host a variety of school events, activities, and celebrations that encourage creativity, participation, and community involvement. These events help children build confidence, strengthen friendships, and create positive school memories while reinforcing the values taught in the classroom.

In addition to the CAPS-aligned curriculum, Pathways also implements the AmazingBrainz programme, an innovative developmental programme created by a multidisciplinary team of specialists. The programme focuses on optimising brain development during the critical first five years of life, helping children build the neurological foundations necessary for lifelong learning, emotional regulation, and cognitive growth.

The combination of a structured CAPS-aligned curriculum, engaging school events, and the scientifically designed AmazingBrainz programme ensures that children at Pathways receive a balanced and enriching early learning experience.
